Challenges:
The primary challenge was to seamlessly integrate AR technology with public art, creating engaging experiences across multiple locations while maintaining a cohesive narrative. We needed to foster intergenerational engagement, ensure ecological sustainability, and captivate a youthful audience accustomed to dynamic digital content.

The Approach:
Concept Development: We began by collaborating with the artists and stakeholders to conceptualize an campaign that would transcend traditional boundaries. Our goal was to weave together diverse locations, emotions, and voices, making each artwork a unique yet integral part of the whole.

  • Campaign Strategy: We crafted a robust strategy to promote “Vävda Rum,” focusing on inclusivity and widespread engagement. This involved identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) such as youthful demographic, diversity, and social media engagement.
  • Creative Direction: My Creative direction ensured that we where on point not only visually but also contextually relevant to its location. This required close collaboration with the artists to align their visions with the broader narrative of the exhibition.
  • Film Production: To capture and convey the essence of “Vävda Rum,” we produced a commercial film that highlighted the power of shared experiences. Filming across various regions of Sweden, including Arvidsjaur, Moskosel, Orust, and Stockholm, we showcased the diversity of the country’s public spaces and its people.
  • Social Media Production: Recognizing the importance of engaging a youthful demographic, we developed reels and social media content that were playful, captivating, and resonant with the ethos of the platforms. This content was designed to spark curiosity and encourage exploration of the virtual artworks.

Results:
The final outcome exceeded our KPIs, fostering significant intergenerational interaction and cultural engagement. The app saw widespread adoption, and social media metrics indicated high levels of interest and participation from younger audiences. “Vävda Rum” not only redefined the landscape of public art exhibitions in Sweden but also set a new standard for sustainable, large-scale artistic endeavors.
