In the Shadow of Authority.

In the heart of Berlin, there lies a colder, more austere side that seems to photograph itself – a testament to the city’s unspoken narratives. It’s as if the very essence of the city’s bureaucratic heaviness is captured in these frames, offering a glimpse into the intricate web that binds a nation together.

These images, steeped in a stark realism, evoke a sense of both detachment and profound insight.

I recall vividly how the employees in the ticket offices at the train stations, perched on their elevated, elongated office chairs, seemed to hover above the ground where I stood – a subtle, yet powerful symbol of authority and observation that left an indelible mark on my perception of the city.

The elevated chairs in the ticket offices are not just furniture; they are thrones of observation.
