Change exhibition
A shift in the environment
The project, Change, aimed to transform a high-traffic public square, Lyngsies plads, right next to Nørrebro Station and Lygten Station. Into a dynamic cultural hub by introducing a temporary, impactful art intervention.

The challenge was to create a experience that could accommodate the diverse expressions of eight local artists, painting, sculpture, performance, and more, while fostering a sense of belonging among passersby. The key constraint? The experience needed to be immediately engaging, lasting only 3–4 seconds as people passed by, yet still leave a lasting impression.
Transformming a busy transit hub into a space of cultural discovery.
My focus was on crafting an experience that could bridge the gap between art and the public. The project required more than aesthetics, it demanded a strategic approach to storytelling and spatial design.
The core value was to subtly shift the perception of the space, offering a brief respite from the daily routine. I designed the visual identity to be versatile yet cohesive, allowing each artist’s work to shine while maintaining a unified narrative.
Given the high foot traffic of the area near Nørrebro Station, I prioritized effortless engagement. The design avoided overwhelming the audience with complexity. Instead, it used subtle visual cues, color palettes, typography, and spatial arrangement, to guide attention and create a sense of curiosity.
Recognizing that compelling art needs to be integrated into the flow of the space, I collaborated closely with local organizations like Lygten St. Områdefornyelsen and Bispebjerg Lokaludvalg to ensure the project aligned with the community’s needs. This partnership allowed us to leverage the area’s existing cultural identity, creating a sense of ownership and continuity.
