Return and Refund Policy
At KC, we want you to be completely satisfied with your new artwork. If the painting does not fit your home as expected, you have a 30-day right of withdrawal.
Return Period
Our return policy lasts for 30 days, calculated in full days starting from the date you receive your painting. If the deadline falls on a holiday, Saturday, June 5th (Constitution Day), December 24th, or December 31st, the deadline is extended to the following business day.
Conditions for Returns
To be eligible for a full refund, the painting must be returned in the same condition as you received it. As these are unique physical artworks, please handle the piece and the original packaging with care until you are certain of your purchase.
Exemptions:
- Custom Commissions: Paintings created specifically to your specifications (custom-made works) are exempt from the right of withdrawal.
- Gift Cards: These cannot be returned or exchanged for cash.
Return Process & Shipping
To initiate a return, please contact us at shop@kaschr.com with your order number and details.
- Customer Responsibility: The customer is responsible for purchasing their own return shipping label and arranging the shipment through their preferred carrier.
- Return Costs: All shipping costs associated with the return are paid by the customer and are non-refundable.
- Risk: According to Danish law, the customer bears the risk for the item until it is safely received at our address. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance.
Checklist for Secure Packaging
Since physical paintings are fragile, proper packaging is crucial. You are liable for any decrease in the value of the artwork resulting from inadequate packaging or handling. To ensure a safe return and a full refund, please follow this checklist:
- Use Original Materials: Whenever possible, reuse the original bubble wrap, corner protectors, and heavy-duty cardboard box.
- Protect the Surface: Ensure nothing abrasive touches the paint surface.
- Use acid-free paper or the original plastic sleeve as the first layer.
- Corner Protection: Use foam or cardboard corners to prevent impact damage.
- Stability: Fill any gaps in the box with padding (paper or bubble wrap) so the painting cannot shift during transport.
- Seal Securely: Use high-quality packing tape to seal all edges and openings of the box.
Damages during Transit
If your order arrives damaged, please take photos of both the packaging and the artwork immediately and contact us at shop@kaschr.com. In cases of transit damage upon delivery to you, we will handle the claim and costs.
Refund Process
Once we receive and inspect the condition of the returned painting, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, the refund will be processed to your original method of payment within 14 business days.
Unclaimed Packages
If a package is not collected from the parcel shop and is returned to us, it will be stored at our warehouse.
You can then choose to:
- Have the package resent: A reshipment fee applies (e.g., 89 DKK within Denmark).
- Cancel the order: The cost of the return freight incurred by us will be deducted from your refund.

Physical returns to our location are possible by prior appointment only. Please contact us at shop@kaschr.com to schedule a time. You must present your order confirmation as proof of purchase.
